Fish Story…

WHAT IT IS

The Glitter Lure is a line of Hard Bait tackle designed to hook even the most elusive fish. Its durable mold is built to withstand the rigors of the sport. Glitter Lure combines innovative design with characteristics of aquatic life. In a never before seen display of biomimicry, our Hard Baits flaunt a patented chamber of moving glitter suspended in liquid. Whether you're a hobbyist on a weekend getaway, or a pro, the Glitter Lure is a must-have for your tackle box.

Where IT CAME FROM

Meet Dan Graf - Inventor of the Glitter Lure. Growing up, Dan fished Ohio’s Whitewater rivers and lakes for Shovel-head Catfish and Smallmouth Bass. His travels led him down the east coast to the Everglades where he fished for Large Mouth Bass in the locks of Lake Okeechobee. Throughout these adventures, Dan learned a great amount about how fish identify and eat their prey. Once a fish finds its meal, they slam into body of their prey, knocking off its scales. As it brings the smaller fish into its mouth, the predator will move it around to remove some of the scales which are discarded out of its gills. Observing behaviors like this in the wild taught Dan the importance of scales in aquatic ecosystems around the world.

HOW IT WORKS

As any fisherman knows, glitter is used in a large percentage of baits. This is largely done to imitate scales. Some conditions however, require different tools. Designs similar to our patented Glitter Lure have been attempted and produced in the past. Some date back to the mid 1900’s, but they failed to achieve solutions to a few issues. We’ve aimed to maximize the amount of light reflecting off the glitter with a window on top the mold. Past lures have all been opaque on top. In addition to this, the glitter floating in liquid makes for a much more eye-catching bait. As you crank your reel to retrieve the lure, its life-like swimming action triggers a controlled cascade of glitter throughout the chamber.
